Nishikwa Mellerson is a real estate consultant and interior decorator based in Columbia, SC. Her goal in real estate is to help as many people of color as she can achieve homeownership. Before pursuing entrepreneurship, Niskikwa worked in risk and management consulting at a Fortune 500 company.
Like many of us, Nishikwa pursued a traditional career path — attending college, earning an advanced degree, and climbing the corporate ladder, only to later discover that her life’s purpose lied outside of the corporate sector.
After being forced to step into her purpose, Nishikwa began working as a real estate consultant and interior decorator full-time in 2018. Since then, Nishikwa has gone on to sell over $3 million in real estate to date. Attributing a great deal of her success to her support system, Nishikwa reminds us why our journeys in entrepreneurship don’t have to be walked alone.
